About us
More than a place to stay
The Glide House was born from a love of the ocean, the freedom of riding waves, and the people we meet along the way. Based in Essaouira, Morocco, we bring together surf, kitesurf, yoga, and slow living in a place where you can learn, progress, and feel at home. We believe every session is an opportunity to discover something new, build confidence, and enjoy the journey. Come for the waves, stay for the good vibes, and leave with memories that last.

What makes us different
Not just a place to stay.
Real surf & kite coaching, not just rental
Structured sessions, video analysis, and coaches who actually care about your progression, not just getting you in the water.
Small by design
We keep groups small on purpose. More attention in the water. Better energy in the house. It's the whole point.
Feels like a friend's house
Not a hotel. Not a hostel. A house where the door is always open, the coffee is always on, and you can actually put your guard down.
Run by ocean people
We're not innkeepers who happened to open a surf house. We're surfers and kiters who built the place we always wanted to find.

Hear From Our Happy Guests
Alex,
I felt a real difference in my surfing after just a few sessions. The coaching was personal, with clear advice that helped me understand what I was doing wrong and how to improve. I left feeling much more confident in the water
Sophie,
he perfect mix of surfing, yoga, and relaxing. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment I arrived, and everything felt personal rather than commercial. I came for the waves but left with amazing memories
Emma,
A beautiful place to slow down, meet like-minded people, and enjoy the ocean. Between the sessions, yoga, and relaxed evenings, I found the perfect balance between learning something new and taking time for myself.
Lucas,
The coaching was adapted to my level and what I actually needed to improve. I appreciated the honest feedback, the attention to detail, and the positive energy throughout every session. I would definitely come back.
Thomas,
What I loved most was the way everything was explained step by step. Instead of just repeating exercises, I started understanding the kite, the wind, and my own movements. It made a huge difference to my confidence.
